Facilitated by instructional designers, these opportunities can help you to add to your teaching and learning repertoire as you lay the groundwork for your next hybrid or online course.


Faculty Design and Development Retreat

Apply best practices for designing pedagogically sound and engaging courses during a free weeklong intensive course development retreat. Participants will learn about faculty support resources and hear faculty perspectives on course design while building the foundation for a future course offering, including a course map, a learner-centered syllabus, and active learning assignments.

Faculty Design and Development Cohort

Throughout the yearlong course development cohort, faculty will engage in trends in teaching and learning, build relationships among faculty across campus, and familiarize themselves with the variety of resources available within Academic Technology and across campus. Each participant will be paired with an instructional designer and will design and develop a complete course during the academic year.
