Innovation in Teaching and Learning with NaviGator AI

Introduction

University of Florida is committed to enhancing student success and enriching the learning experience through innovative teaching methods. AI2 Center and UFIT CITT are excited to announce a call for proposals for projects that leverage NaviGator AI to transform teaching and learning. NaviGator AI suite of tools include Navigator Chat, NaviGator Assistant and NaviGator Toolkit powered by HiPerGator provide a unique opportunity for instructors to develop innovative pedagogical experience that incorporate AI to enhance student learning outcomes and promote student success.  

Objectives

The primary goal of this call for proposal is to fund innovative projects utilizing NaviGator AI that:

  • Enhance student success.
  • Improve the teaching and learning experience.
  • Foster engagement and interaction.
  • Provide personalized learning opportunities.
  • Scalable across different courses and disciplines.

Proposal Requirements

We invite faculty members to submit proposals that outline their innovative ideas for integrating NaviGator AI into their teaching practices. Proposals should address the following areas:

  • Alignment with one or more of the objectives.
  • Project timeline and resource needs.
  • Scalability and impact of the project.
  • Readiness for implementation.
  • Well-articulated assessment and evaluation plan.

Award

Selected project(s) will receive the following resources and support:

  • Stipend up to $3,000 for project (individual or team)
  • Instructional design and instructional technology support through UFIT CITT
  • Project planning and implementation resources
  • Recipients of the award are required to present their project at one of the following campus events: AI Days, UFIT Tech Bytes or TechXploration, HiPerGator Symposium, Interface
